I bought the pink version of this for my wife a few months back when it was only around $120.It's great for taking random pictures and doing casual photography.The only thing I hate these (and Sony in general) is the proprietary cable, Memory Stick and Battery. I loved the Sony H2 because it uses standard AA batteries and mini-USB.This model uses non-standard cables and battery. So when I lost the cable, I had to use either the H2 or a separate card reader to transfer files to my computer. But it takes great pictures - which is most important for the cameras..

I bought both the zoom and non-zoom. I find the non-zoom easier to focus and use while the zoom had to be refocused with every zoom.The picture became darker when zoomed and it was easy to see the black circles (eyes gets out of line with the eyepiece). I kept the non-zoom, and they work great for football games. In addition, the zoom lens is too sensitive in a relatively stable 30-year-old Son. You really do need a stand if you are going to zoom in more than 8x..

It's durable, takes great photos and is handy to capture some rough video.If you upgrade the card deuhamyeon 5000 can take pictures & 10 videos (most of the family on vacation for the duration of your trip well without downloading). The only think I'd like is a heftier flash - but I'm not thinking that's possible in such a compact camera..

The camera is easy to use.I took it on a long trip and it became an extension of my arm, it was so intuitive.The only thing I do not like is the extent to which the uploading of images is tied to the Kodak software. It's a major undertaking to import the photos into Picassa instead of EasyShare.The 5x zoom is great for such a compact camera..
